Club History

Est. 1859

One of the oldest clubs in the world, Geelong were founded in 1859 and have been a powerhouse across three centuries of Australian football. The Cats' modern dynasty under Chris Scott delivered three premierships between 2007 and 2022, with the 2022 flag — an 81-point Grand Final demolition of Sydney — standing as one of the most dominant performances in the game's history. With 10 premierships and a fanatical supporter base stretching from the Bellarine to beyond, the Cats remain one of the competition's most formidable forces.
