Dangerfield captains the Geelong Cats and won the Brownlow Medal in 2016, the same year he took the Leigh Matthews Trophy and the AFL Coaches Association's Champion Player of the Year award. Eight All-Australian selections, three Carji Greeves Medals, the 2022 premiership and the Gary Ayres Award for that finals series sit alongside them. He has played 378 AFL games and kicked 393 goals.
