About the 2026 fixture. The home-and-away season runs from Opening Round on 5 March through Round 24 on 22 August. Every club plays 23 matches (22 for teams with a bye in certain rounds). The top 8 at the end of Round 24 qualify for the finals series, beginning 29 August.
