Club History

Est. 1994

Western Australia's second AFL club entered the competition in 1995 and quickly built a fierce identity under Gerard Neesham, then Ross Lyon. The Dockers reached the 2013 Grand Final under Lyon but fell to Hawthorn, and the maiden premiership remains the club's defining quest. Captain Matthew Pavlich retired as the club's greatest player with 353 games and 700 goals, while Nat Fyfe claimed two Brownlow Medals. With a young, talented list and the roar of Optus Stadium behind them, the purple army believe the flag is closer than ever.
