Steele was taken in the 2025 mid-season draft and debuted within weeks, in round 17 against Carlton at the MCG. The 183cm midfielder, recruited out of Perth, played 5 games in his first season, including both of Collingwood's finals. He has played 24 AFL games and kicked 15 goals.
