Cripps has won two Brownlow Medals, in 2022 and 2024, and five John Nicholls Medals — equal-most in Carlton history, alongside the man the award is named after. At 195cm he is unusually large for a midfielder, and uses it. He passed 200 career Brownlow votes in 2025, a first for a Carlton player, and has played 255 AFL games for 143 goals.
