Brain came through the Brisbane Lions Academy out of Gympie and played his way onto the list as a Category B rookie for 2023 on the back of a strong VFL season. He debuted in Adelaide in 2024 and was given a new role off half-back the following year, where his closing speed and defensive intent suited. He has played 11 games.
