Recruited in the 2023 draft as a forward, Lloyd has since been converted into a hybrid defender, using his 193cm frame against taller opponents. He spent 2025 developing in the Brisbane Lions' VFL side, with some of the season lost to injury. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
