Coleman grew up in Katherine in the Northern Territory and came through the Brisbane Lions Academy. His 2023 finished with a share of the club's Finals Player of the Year award and a runner-up placing in Norm Smith Medal voting on Grand Final day. An ACL rupture early the following year cost him close to two seasons. He has played 79 games and kicked 16 goals.
