A father-son selection in the 2010 draft, Liberatore has been the Western Bulldogs' inside-midfield mainstay for over a decade, winning the Charles Sutton Medal in 2014 and a premiership in 2016. On reaching 250 games in 2025, he and father Tony became only the second father-son pair to each play 250 for one club. He retired at the end of the 2026 season, having played 268 AFL games and kicked 93 goals.
