The Greater Western Sydney academy's Player of the Year in 2024, Smith was rated among the two best underage ruckmen in the country that season and named an under-18 All-Australian after averaging 21.5 hitouts for the Allies. The 204cm Canberran also won an AFL Canberra first grade premiership with Queanbeyan, and returned from an interrupted start to play out 2025 in the VFL. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
