Known at Essendon as 'Red Dog', Redman finished third in the 2023 Crichton Medal and won the Adam Ramanauskas Most Courageous Player award that same year. The 187cm running defender played 19 games in 2025 and closed the season with 34 and 36-disposal performances in two of his final three matches. He has played 159 AFL games and kicked 27 goals.
