An ankle injury ended Jones' 2025 season early. The 196cm forward has since been shifted to a wing at Essendon, where his endurance and marking reach are put to use, and he was nominated for the AFL Rising Star in round 14 of 2021. He has played 66 AFL games and kicked 57 goals.
