Perkins won Essendon's Lindsay Griffiths Rising Star award in 2021, the year he was also nominated for the AFL's Rising Star. The 188cm forward had an equal career-high 24 disposals in the 2025 Dreamtime match and hit the scoreboard against West Coast and North Melbourne that same season. He has played 117 AFL games and kicked 72 goals.
