Doedee spent eight seasons at Adelaide before joining the Brisbane Lions as a restricted free agent at the end of 2023. Knee injuries, including a second ACL rupture, wiped out most of the three years that followed, and he did not pull on the Lions guernsey until Round 22, 2025 against Sydney.
