Davidson jumped from Gippsland local football to the VFL, where he won the 2024 Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal as the competition's most promising talent, prompting the Western Bulldogs to draft him at pick 51 that year. The 190cm mature-age recruit played 19 senior games in his first season, averaging 15.5 disposals. He has played 37 AFL games and kicked 21 goals.
