Sanders became a Western Bulldog at pick 6 in the 2023 national draft, arriving from North Launceston in Tasmania. The 186cm midfielder debuted in round 1, 2024, played 14 senior matches in that first year, and was named in the AFLPA's 22Under22 team in 2026. He has played 58 AFL games and kicked 18 goals.
