A 194cm intercepting defender with a penetrating right-foot kick, Barrat was taken in the 2024 national draft after playing alongside Tobie Travaglia at the Bendigo Pioneers and for Vic Country. He spent his first St Kilda season building his craft in the VFL, and wears the No.28 guernsey. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
