A quick 181cm small defender, Smith missed all of 2024 with a foot stress injury before doubling his career tally the following season and taking a Mark of the Year contender against St Kilda in Round 3. Winner of Richmond's David Mandie Community Award in 2024, he re-signed for another year. Delisted by Richmond at the end of the 2026 season, he has played 12 AFL games and kicked 1 goal.
