Plucked from Essendon's VFL side in the 2024 mid-season draft, the 195cm Gray debuted in Round 7 and settled quickly into defence, where he produced a 13-spoil display against his old club. A PCL knee injury in June interrupted his progress before a VFL return against GWS. Contracted until 2027, he has played 13 AFL games and kicked 1 goal.
