A first-round selection from Sturt in the 2020 national draft, Powell debuted in Round 1, 2021 and has grown into a midfielder who hurts sides on the inside and outside of the contest. His smooth movement and decision-making brought consecutive top-10 Syd Barker Medal finishes in 2024 and 2025. He has played 99 AFL games and kicked 34 goals.
