Tony Modra was one of the most spectacular and prolific goalscorers in AFL history — a brilliant key forward who combined marking brilliance with an almost supernatural goal-sense. A four-time Coleman Medal winner (1991, 1993, 1995, 1996), Modra was the kind of player who could win a game in five minutes of brilliance. His performances in the early and mid 1990s — particularly his stunning 1993 season — remain some of the most breathtaking individual football ever witnessed. He was integral to Adelaide's identity as a genuine football power in the competition's expansion era.
