Mark Bickley is a genuine club icon — the first captain of the Adelaide Football Club and one of the defining figures of the Crows' establishment as a power in the competition. A tenacious and courageous defender/midfielder, Bickley played 272 games for the club across 13 seasons and was a cornerstone of both the 1997 and 1998 premiership sides. His leadership and commitment to the Crows from their earliest days through their golden era set a standard of excellence that defined the culture of the club for a generation.
