Born in Townsville and raised in Canberra, Green came through the Greater Western Sydney academy and was drafted at pick 10 in 2019. He led the AFL for both disposals and contested possessions in 2023, finished fifth in the 2024 Brownlow Medal, and in 2025 won his first Kevin Sheedy Medal after three near-misses in the club champion count. He has played 115 AFL games and kicked 49 goals.
