Taken at pick 12 in the 2023 draft after impressing for the Murray Bushrangers and the Allies, Gothard is a small forward with pace and a clean first touch. Injuries disrupted his first two seasons at Greater Western Sydney, though he produced strong VFL form in between. He has played 16 AFL games and kicked 18 goals.
