In his 10th AFL season Long settled into a forward pocket under Damien Hardwick and kicked 45 majors, close to doubling his career tally and earning a place in the All-Australian squad for the first time. He missed one match all year, kicked four on three occasions and three on five more. He has played 156 AFL games and kicked 130 goals.
