A Kalgoorlie product who joined the West Coast Eagles as a Category B rookie through the club's Next Generation Academy, Champion earned a mid-season debut in round 17 of 2025 off the back of his pressure and pace in the WAFL with Subiaco. The 172cm small forward kicked his first AFL goal at home the following season. He has played 10 AFL games and kicked 4 goals.
