Drafted by GWS at pick 13 in 2011, Adams played 31 games for the Giants before a decade at Collingwood that brought the 2020 Copeland Trophy and All-Australian selection. The 181cm midfielder joined the Sydney Swans in 2024, making 19 appearances that year before injury limited him to 4 matches in 2025. He retired at the end of the 2026 season, having played 229 AFL games and kicked 86 goals.
