A Newcastle product who grew up supporting the club, King came through the Sydney Swans Academy and landed on the list when the Swans matched Adelaide's bid for him at pick 49 in the 2025 national draft. The 191cm forward, a Basil Sellers Scholarship recipient, kicked 30 goals for his local side Cardiff in his draft year and wears the No.31 guernsey. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
