A North Melbourne supporter as a boy, Xerri was drafted at pick 72 in 2017 and served a long apprenticeship behind Todd Goldstein before debuting in Round 4, 2020. The 202cm ruckman rose into the competition's top bracket in 2024, then tied with Harry Sheezel for the 2025 Syd Barker Medal, his bruising style and helmet making him a favourite at Arden Street. He has played 95 AFL games and kicked 33 goals.
