Mapley was taken at pick 19 in the mid-season rookie draft of 2026 after opening the year with Tasmania's VFL side, averaging 18 hit-outs and 12 disposals a game. The 199cm ruckman came through the Tasmanian junior pathway and represented Tasmania at Coates Talent League level. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
