A Greater Western Sydney academy product from Osborne in the New South Wales Riverina, Madden was recruited in the 2022 rookie draft and has developed under ruck coach Shane Mumford. A lengthy ankle injury cut short a strong VFL run in 2024, but the 204cm ruckman broke through for his debut against Port Adelaide in round 13 of 2025. He has played 12 AFL games.
