Aleer broke the draft combine record for the running vertical jump with a leap of 107cm before Greater Western Sydney took him with their second pick in 2021. Born in Kenya to Sudanese parents and recruited out of the SANFL, the 194cm defender announced himself with two game-saving marks in the closing minutes against Geelong in round 11 of 2024. He has played 32 AFL games and kicked 2 goals.
