Briggs became only the second Western Sydney player the Giants had drafted when they took the academy product at pick 34 in 2018. His break came in round 10 of 2023, after which he held the ruck for the rest of a season that ended in a preliminary final, leading all ruckmen in the AFL for clearances a match. The Giants did not offer him a contract for 2027, and he will join Richmond as an unrestricted free agent when the free agency period opens in October 2026. He has played 88 AFL games and kicked 16 goals.
