The Greater Western Sydney Giants matched a Sydney bid to take academy product Rowston at pick 16 in the 2022 draft. A back complaint cost him all of 2024, but he returned through the VFL and forced his way into the senior side at round 11 of 2025, playing nine straight and kicking four majors against Gold Coast in round 23. He has played 29 AFL games and kicked 12 goals.
