Evans played first-class cricket for Victoria and Big Bash cricket for the Melbourne Renegades, and represented Australia at under-19 level, before joining the Gold Coast Suns as a category B rookie late in 2024. He played 14 VFL matches in 2025 for 11.9 disposals and nine majors, including trebles against Casey and Brisbane, and has signed on for another year. He is yet to play a senior AFL game.
