Adelaide took Edwards at pick 21 in the 2023 national draft after a season with the Sandringham Dragons that began in defence and finished in the midfield, capped by 22 disposals and a goal in the Coates Talent League preliminary final. At 191cm he is a big-bodied midfielder with leg speed and a long kick. He has played 2 AFL games.
