Taken with pick 7 in the 2022 national draft from the Sandringham under-18s, Mackenzie earned a Rising Star nomination in 2023. The 188cm midfielder collected his first 3 Brownlow votes after a 30-disposal career high against GWS in Round 3, 2025. He has played 68 AFL games and kicked 16 goals.
